About Me

Mountain-Side Horsemanship was founded on a lifelong passion for horses and over a decade of hands-on training experience. For the past 10 years, I have dedicated myself to developing young horses with a thoughtful, consistent, and foundation-focused approach that prepares them for long-term success.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Equine Science from Montana State University, where I built a strong academic foundation in equine behavior, nutrition, physiology, and training principles. Recognizing the importance of professionalism and sustainability in the horse industry, I later returned to school to complete a degree in Business Management—ensuring that my program operates with integrity, organization, and clear communication for every client.

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of  I have had the privilege to be mentored by numerous respected natural horsemanship trainers and clinicians. These experiences have shaped my philosophy to prioritize softness, clarity, and partnership—developing horses that are mentally willing, physically balanced, and confident in their work.

For the past three years, I have been actively competing in the sport of Working Equitation, a discipline that demands precision and a trusting partnership. This competition experience continually refines my training program and reinforces the importance of building a horse that is adaptable and prepared for real-world challenges.

My ultimate goal is to build a solid foundation in every horse—one that prepares them to succeed in any discipline their owners choose to pursue. Whether the future holds ranch work, performance competition, or trail riding, a strong foundation creates the confidence, balance, and responsiveness necessary for long-term success.

At Mountain-Side Horsemanship, each horse is trained as an individual, and each program is designed to support both horse and rider in achieving their goals with confidence and clarity.
